Las posibilidades de este mundo, en estos tiempos, parecen lúgubres y aburridas. Todo lo que ofrecen en el mejor de los casos son espectáculos de desintegraciones. Capitalismo o barbarie, esas son las opciones. Esta es una época gobernada por este chantaje: o más y más de lo mismo, o el fin de los tiempos. Al menos eso es lo que ellos dicen. Nosotros no nos tragamos eso. Es hora de empezar a confabular como salir del siglo XXI. Los pesimistas tienen razón. Las cosas no pueden seguir como están. Los optimistas también tienen razón. Otro mundo es posible. Los medios están a nuestra disposición. El ser de nuestra especie es constructor de mundos.
Algunas veces, para ir hacia adelante, uno tiene que volver atrás.
The possibilities of this world, in these times, seem dismal and dull. All it offers at best is spectacles of disintegration. Capitalism or barbarism, those are the choices. This is an epoch governed by this blackmail: either more and more of the same, or the end times. Or so they say. We don’t buy it. It’s time to start scheming on how to leave the twenty-first century. The pessimists are right. Things can’t go on as they are. The optimists are also right. Another world is possible. The means are at our disposal. Our species-being is as a builder of worlds. Sometimes, to go forward, one has to go back.
